Testing and thinking about pocket BrainKing

I am writing this entry on my new HTC TyTN smartphone and thanks to its built-in sliding keyboard, it's pretty handy and one gets used to it in a while. I have already tested to access BrainKing from this device and even connect to the administrator console and restart the site from a command line. Which is a good thing because I always have my cell phone along, so when a site problems occurs, I can fix it immediately and from anywhere.

Speaking of that, I have also tried to display BrainKing on the phone's 320x240 screen using the Opera Mobile web browser (and it is a very good one, much better than the already installed Internet Explorer), and as you can see on the attached picture, the home page is fully shown. I know that I had to change the zoom value to 25% and picky fellows could object that the 0.1 mm letters are very hard to recognize, but it's still a good start to become fully mobile.

The dilemma is - should a new BrainKing style be created, in order to utilize QVGA displays, or should a Windows Mobile BrainKing client be developed. The latter option requires much more programming work but the result could be quite impressive and can contain features which are not possible to implement in HTML/JavaScript. Anyway, this article is not about any decision, just thinking about the future possibilities.
